Hi everyone! We had a great Thanksgiving break! Yes, we are on the road again! We just finished Nashville, TN.
Tennessee is nicknamed The Volunteer State. The State song is the Tennessee Waltz.
From 1763 until 1789, Tennessee was part of North Carolina. In 1775, Daniel Boone, that's my fathers name, blazed a trail through the Cumberland Gap. Settlers began to move into the territory.
There were more battles in Tennessee than in any other state except Virginia, during the Civil War.
In 1784, North Carolina offered some if its land to the U.S government. They named their state Franklin. In 1789, North Carolina got control of the area again. Franklin became part of Tennessee in 1796. So today, there is no state called Franklin.
There are three Presidents from Tennessee. Andrew Jackson in 1828, James K. Polk in 1845, and Andrew Johnson in 1865, after President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
Trust you enjoy the lesson and the pictures.
Dear friends of the Vision. It was a cool but sunny day here in Nashville, TN. The response of people was very good. The spirit of prayer is very much alive in this city and State.
There were at least 50 people who joined us in prayer. Several organizations and churches were represented. They have a room in the capitol building where they hold regular prayer meetings.
A prophetic word from one of our intercessors in Ohio was so encouraging. "May God give Nashville a new song. Let songs of prophecy begin to come forth in the Spirit that will cause even the atmosphere to be changed. Let every song of destruction and despair be turned into hope and restoration in the name of Jesus!
The excitment of the Holy Spirits presence keeps us going. It is not easy at times when the warfare is strong. We know that the coals of fire that we place in each capital will soon blaze into a great spiritual awakening! The enemy does not want this but God does. We must continue to obey!!
Bless all of you dear folk for being so faithful! It is now on to Montgomery, AL December 9.
