Hi everyone, we just completed our 19th capital tour mission. What a gorgeous capitol building. It is designed much like the one on Capitol Hill. They used the same Architect. They are doing major renovation on the outside of the dome. I will send a post card to the school so you can see what it looks like without the covering. The statue that I am standing by is one of Abraham Lincoln called, "Abraham Lincoln walks at midnight!" He was so distressed with the seceding of the Southern States as he paced the floor in Washington DC. West Virginia had seceded from Virginia because Virginia had joined the Confederacy who supported slavery. They believed that all men should be free as their mountaineer spirit portrayed. President Lincoln was encouraged by the Mountaineers of West Virginia and personally signed the documents to make them the 35th state in 1863.
West Virginia is called the Mountain State. The whole state lies within the Appalachian Mountain system
West Virginia was a major producer of coal in the late 1800's and during World War II. Today, tourism is the number one leading industry in there.
Anna M. Jarvis of Grafton, West Virginia thought mothers were special. She worked to make one day a year dedicated to mothers. President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed Mother's Day a national holiday. This the second Sunday in May.
Continue to have a great year!

Dear friends of the vision for Prayer Across America:
I have tried to included many more emails on this special message concerning our 19th capital of prayer.
Yes, we have had many tests over the past few months as we trek across America, praying at every capital. The prayers that the Holy Spirit has given us has caused a great stir among many people. We are so pleased to see people from different ethnicities and different denominations and parachurch ministries, come a join with us at their State Capitol building.
Our prayer time this week in Charleston, WV, was one of the most stirring since Springfield, Il, our launching state. Some of the people drove over two hours to join us. The hearts of these West Virginia's are so excited about the work of the Holy Spirit in their State. They are pursuing God at key cities of their state with seven hour prayer meetings. They believe that the Great Awakening coming to America, will start in West Virginia. As Vicki and I attended one of our A/G churches in the valley, we was so moved by their commitment to prayer for their state and America. They pray seven hours one evening a week with the reading of scripture, then praying with their understanding and then the majority of the seven hours given to praying in the Spirit. I was privileged to speak three times, attend prayer meetings, one of which was held in the top of the dome of the capitol building. It is awesome to see and sense the cutting edge of this great awakening even as it is happening right now!
There is much happening in other states as well. We can hardly wait to go to Columbus, Ohio. There, a group of intercessors have been given a vision of coals of fire being placed in every capital city in America. The wind of the Spirit will then blow across America with a great awakening from sea to shinning sea. Agree with us in prayer as we place these coals of fire in each capital in America.
Bless all of you for caring!
