The most astonishing revelation to my spirit in sometime, was given a few days ago while reading Exodus 32:7-14. It was the rebellion of Israel as they worshipped the golden calf. God was going to kill all the people and take Moses and his family and make a great nation out of them. Moses, so humble, but so eloquent, argued like a great attorney with the Judge of all the earth to save the people. God said the people belonged to Moses and Moses said the people were God's. At the end of this great courtroom battle at the top of Mount Sinai, God withdraws His threat to bring disaster and sends Moses to be the one to discipline the people.
The incredible truth that the Holy Spirit revealed to me was that God was acting consistently with His justice and had every right to destroy the people for their sin of rebellion. Moses became the intercessor for the people and God relented in order to act consistently with His mercy. Then the Holy Spirit showed me that as we pray at each Capitol building, we and those who join us in prayer, are the intercessors asking God not to destroy America but give us mercy! We know that we are not the only ones interceding for America, but it truly encouraged my heart to learn this incredible principle. There is one problem! We don't know how long God will tolerate the sins of a nation if we don't truly repent!
Keep praying for us as we head for Des Monies Iowa on March 3, 2005
Hi everyone, Indiana is know as the crossroads of America. It is located in the middle of the Midwest. Early settlers crossed through the area on their way west. Indiana became a state in 1816 while much of it was still wilderness.
Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, is the home of the Indy 500 which was started in 1911. The winner is presented with a wreath, a trophy, and a glass of milk. Only 33 cars race each year.
Indiana is called the Hoosier State. No one is sure how the state got the nickname, but people who come from Indiana are called Hoosiers. Here are some famous Hoosiers: Benjamin Harrison 23rd President of the United States, Frank Borman commander of the Apollo 8 mission, Michael Jackson singer, songwriter, Jim Davis creator of the Garfield comic strip, Larry Bird champion basketball player, Jane Pauley television journalist, David Letterman late-night talk show host, and James Dean actor.
Continue to have a great year.
Dear friends of the vision, we just completed our 22nd Capital prayer meeting in Indianapolis, IN. It was a cold day but over 35 people came to pray and intercede for Indiana and America.
We were so blessed with the welcome of the Senior Pastor of Lakeview Christian Center. His heart for prayer is exceptional. The Holy Spirit has called him to pray in 50 county Courthouses for one hour in the State of Indiana this next year. We are getting prayer down to the grass roots.
