Hi everyone, yes it is the RV travelers again. We have stayed in South Carolina for one week and have truly enjoyed the 70 degree temperatures and no rain.
Let's get to the great history in South Carolina. In the 1500's, the Spanish and the French tried to settle in the South Carolina area, failed. The English were more successful and built the city of Charleston in 1670. South Carolina was the first to secede from the Union in 1860. Confederate troops captured Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor. This was the first battle of the Civil War. There is an attached picture of me pointing to six bronze stars placed on the west side of the capitol building, identifying where General Sherman, on his march to the sea, shot his cannons from across the river. The capitol building was under construction during the Civil War. The inside of the capitol building has been refurbished. It is beautify with had carved mahogany doors surrounded by Tennessee dark cedar marble.
I am standing by the statue of George Washington with his walking cane broken in half. The plaque says that the Union soldiers brickbatted the statue and broke the bottom half of the bronze cane off.
This is the home of Stom Thurmond who retired from the US Senate at the age of 100, as the nation's longest serving Senator. He died June 26, 2003.
Continue to have a great year. We head for North Carolina next.

Dear friend of the vision,
What a great prayer time at the steps of the State House! I am amazed how the Holy Spirit led us to a church that was in a week of prayer and fasting. We were asked to speak each evening and Vicki spoke during the lunch hour on "how to pray the scriptures." The pastor has a connect to the city of Columbia and crosses over ethnicities and denominational boundaries. The diverse group of ministers pray from the twenty second floor of the building across from the State House once a week. What a terrific view and vision for a great city.
CWA came through again with Dr. Magdelene Long, a prayer chapter leader from Spartanburg. She and her husband prayed beautifully for America and the military.
The some of the attached pictures show some of the of people present. It was the largest group in several weeks. There was a wonderful spirit of prayer and praise on the steps of this great historic capital built just before the Civil War.
Security allowed us to unload our equipment near the entrance of the capital and leave our car there until we finished. The favor of the Lord has been great! The Holy Spirit is so pleased with what we are doing.
Follow us with your prayers from state to state. The challenge is great but the reward of a great awaking for America is greater.
We head for Raleigh, NC tomorrow.
