Dear friends of the vision,
What a challenge as we pre-visited the Capitol building in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday before our payer meeting scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 pm. National news reported the massive disaster on the highways. We were just leaving the city around 1:30 pm as the entire city seem to hit the highways at once. We are so thankful, it only took us 2 hours and thirty minutes to reach our RV. Some people were on the road for 14 hours. Today, January 20, there was no snow to be found. We had a cool but great day for our prayer across America.
I am always amazed at the people that come and help us pray. Two CWA members were present. Mary Francis, was such a blessing as she prayed for State leaders, one of which was her husband, minority leader of the Republican part. Several more would have come but the bad weather on Wednesday, changed a lot of plans. The director of the Concert of Prayer for Raleigh, was so helpful. Two shofar blowers came up from Charlotte, NC, were excellent. A lady originally from Spain, found our website, printed off our prayers, joined us in prayer and wept before the Lord as we prayed. Three other people, unknown to me, prayed with such heart, it moved us deeply.
This was not an easy prayer time in several respects, but well worth the effort. We are truly placing coals of fire in each capital city. The wind of the Spirit will soon blow across this great country in a great awakening.
We journey to Richmond, Virginia tomorrow. There is a forecast of snow in our area. Keep us in your prayers as we ask for safe travel. I have attached two pictures. Yes, it was only 45 degrees but we were prepared. The capitol building is an older one with a statute of the three presidents from NC.
Bless you dear people. You are so faithful to pray and support us. With the Lord's help, we will complete this great task.

Hi everyone,
Yes, we have completed 17th capital. Just 24 hours before our committed visited to the Capitol building in Raleigh, three inches of snow fell. This created the most sever traffic jam in the history of this area. They have many hills with little salt or snow removal equipment. Fortunately, by the time we were to be present at the South Capitol steps, the snow had all but disappeared. We were so thankful!
North Carolina is number one in making textiles and household furniture. This state also lead the nation in growing tobacco and making tobacco products.
One of the sad points in North Carolina history is the Trail of Tears. By the late 1830's most American Indians were gone. Only the Cherokee Indians remained. The government forced them to march to land west of the Mississippi River. Many of them died of cold, disease, and starvation. This is why this journey is remembered today as the Trail of Tears.
Many people have asked why are North Carolinians are called Tar Heels? One story is that troops retreated during a Civil War battle. Someone suggested that they should put tar on the departed soldiers' heels to make them "stick better in the next fight." Perhaps the best word dates back to colonial times when North Carolina was a major producer of tar.
In the attached pictures you will find an older capitol building with a statue of three presidents from North Carolina.
