Hi everyone, we made it to the great salt lake valley in the state of Utah. The grass is green and the flowers are blooming but winter tries to return with snow, wind, and rain. Today, however, was a sunny day for our time at the capitol building.
The Anasazi and the Fremont were some of the first people to live in Utah. The European explorers reached Utah in the 1700's other American Indian tribes--such as the Navajo, Shoshone, and Ute--lived there.
Many people passed through Utah on their way west. A group of people known as the Mormons, left Nauvoo, IL for a place of freedom from persecution in the eastern United States and Europe. Led by Brigham Young in 1846, traveled in wagons and on foot (pulling their possessions in handcarts) to the Great Salt Lake and later other valleys. They remain as a high profile especially, in Salt Lake City. The temple that took forty years to build, still stands stately in the center of the city.
Utah was named after the Ute Indians and is nicknamed The Beehive State. The Mormons (nickname for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) believed in working hard and working together. They compared themselves to honeybees, which work together to build a beehive.
It was in 1869 that the last spike, made of gold, was hammered in to complete the transcontinental railroad at Promontory, Utah. This great achievement connected the East with the West.
Stay strong and finish the school year with great hope and optimism!

Dear friends of the vision, It was a sunny but a cool day high up the hill to the capitol building and plaza.. The plaza where we prayed is surrounded by the Senate and House building, the Financial building, the Governors office, and the four year renovation capitol building. The twelve, plus Vicki and I, truly touched heaven with prayers of faith!

It was not easy stirring up interest for our prayer time but some key intercessors helped us greatly by leading us to a two hour prayer time on Saturday. Weattendedthree churches on Easter Sunday. We were able to go to one of the churches each morning for prayer. This helps us so much to find that special place of prayer. We need the strength it brings as well as prophetic insight for future situations. All of us must be very aware of what is going on in America concerning the preservation of life and laws and courts that are taking it from us. We must all awaken from our slumber and discover how far we have fallen from Gods love for human life!

As all of us know, forty percent of the population in Salt Lake City, belong to the Latter-Day Saint church. However, there is a new stir occurring in the Salt Lake Valley! There are many intercessory prayer groups as well as new gospel preaching churches in this great valley.

We left coals of fire in the capital city and the wind of the Spirit is about to blow across this land. Most of our prayer times at various capitals have had wind present. There is another wind coming that will stir this nation in a way that we have not seen. The coals of fire of Ezekiel 10: will purify this nation and those who will not respond, it will separate them from God forever!

We are headed for Carson City, Nevada tomorrow. Pray that we will find churches that will respond to our mission as well as parachuch ministry groups. It takes so much energy to make contacts, find churches, and get a group of people together by Thursday. The good part is, when we pray at the Capitol building, great things happen whether the number is small or large. Call us with leadsfor the next 24 capital prayer meetings.
God bless you for caring!
