There will be a Prayer Across America rally in the state capital Thursday, June 2 at 1:00 pm.

Prayer Across America is both a vision and a call to prayer. The purpose of this vision is to stir up the spirit of prayer across the nation. Laypeople and church and ministry leaders alike from across the state of South Dakota are invited to join together in Pierre for prayer for South Dakota and America.

Rev. Phil Epperson and his wife Vicki of Illinois have been touring all 50 states beginning last Sept. 11 in Springfield, Illinois. The year long mission will end in Washington DC on Sept. 11, 2005. Every Thursday they organize a prayer rally at a different state capitol with local clergy, pro-family leaders, and ministry leaders, leading in the prayers for our nation and state.

In this age of moral decline and societal departure from Biblical values, Prayer Across America participants will pray for wisdom for America's leaders and the decisions they face. Concerned Women for America is a co-sponsor of these events.

The group's theme is from 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
