Hi everyone, we did it! It was rainy last night and early this morning but it cleared enough for us to get to the Capitol building steps and have our hour of devotional time for Mississippi and the USA.

This is another beautiful capitol building. They call it the new capitol since the old one still stands. It was built however, it was built in 1901-1903. It was restored in 1979-1982, for $19 million. There 4,750 lights with 750 in the rotunda. The picture I sent you gives some idea of its beauty.

Mississippi is nicknamed, "The Magnolia State and the State Bird is the Mockingbird. Cotton was the main crop in early 1800's.
Many civil rights marches were held in Mississippi. Today, residents of all races are working together to continue to improve thier state.

Just a few famous people from Mississippi are: Richard Wright, a famous writer, Elvis Presley, B. B. King, Bo Didley, Tammy Wynette, and others.
Continue to have a great school year!

Hi everyone, yes we made it through another Capital prayer meeting. Vicki and I felt very strong resistance the past three days. Most Chrisitans do not pray for State or National leaders. I trust this is changing.
As we started for the capital today, a major accident had occurred ahead of us on a major interstate highway. We were deeply concerned about time. We made it! The weather had been so sunny until last night and this morning. We have asked the Holy Spirit for 51 good days. He heard our prayer. During the prayer time the dark clouds began to move South and East of us and blue sky appeared as we concluded with the benidiction.
They let us park in the Governors place to unload and return to picki up our equipment.
Rabbi Lynn blew the Shofar. He knew what he was doing. He also prayed, using Hebrew words for Lord, Jesus, God, and others. It is so inspiring. The State CWA director was also present and prayed, along with another member. CWA has been so faithful. They encourage us so much.
In the pictures, Vicki is standing by a monument where women of the South were honored. Their mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters. The rotunda containes 750 lights. It was beautiful. The capitol building, having been restored in 1979-1982 for $19 million, has some of the most beautiful Italian white marble, and New York jet black marble. The eagle at the top is solid copper, 8 feet high, 15 feet wide, coated with gold leaf.
Keep us in prayer as we make a long journey to Little Rock, AK. Next Thursday, former President Clinton, along with 30,000 others will be just a few blocks from the Capitol building, dedicating his new Library. Much trafice to contend with.
