Dear friends of the vision,

What a wonderful day in Dover, Delaware! The remains of Hurricane Katrina passed our way with only some rain showers. My, how our heart goes out to those who were so devastated by this severe hurricane. Our day for prayer was beautiful!

We were apprehensive for a few hours, since the wording of our permit was confusing. We received permission to pray five hours before our start time. This, of course, added to the stress of the week.

The wonderful turn out of people was one of our largest in many weeks. This was primarily due to Calvary Assembly in Dover. They are a praying, growing, and worshiping church! What a blessing to find the church Saturday when we arrived, looking for our praying church.

The Children's pastor brought his G-TEAM truck and sound equipment to the area where we prayed. The Senior Pastor, his wife, and many members of his congregation, were present. The Academy administrator and several of his teachers were also present.to help us watch with Jesus for one hour! How encouraging it was to have a large church, a busy pastor, and Keenagers (seniors), show up at this 49th Prayer Across America mission. Other friends, yes from Illinois, what a surprise, and from local churches joined with us as well.
We opened with a statement from Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation, which says, "Delaware is known as the 'Cradle of Methodism.' In 1805, the revival fire of the Methodists was burning so hot that 10,000 to 15,000 would gather for a week of meetings. It is recorded that the shouts of the saints and the cries of repentant sinners could be heard three miles away." It was in that same spirit that we prayed the prayers the Holy Spirit has given us. We turned with our hands outstretched over the city of Dover and the state of Delaware for the great awakening that is already happening!

This prayer time was crucial because last Sunday, at the same location where we stood to pray, was Pagan Pride Day! America is rapidly moving to a blending of all types of religions and cults. They defined paganism "as a broad nature-based polytheistic spirituality, including: Wicca, Druid beliefs, Buddhism, Gnostic Christianity, shamanism, many American Indian beliefs and more."

We truly must wake up in America and cry out to the only true God in the universe, through our Lord Jesus Christ!
We are headed for Annapolis, Maryland next Thursday for our 50th prayer time. We will end at Washington D.C. on 9-11-05. Our worship time will start at 12:00 noon, with prayer from 1:00 to 2:30. Please joing us if you can. If you cannot make the journey, pray for and with us. The prayers are listed on our web site at prayeracrossamerica.org.
