Dear friends of the vision,

What a wonderful day in Annapolis, Maryland. There was not one cloud in the sky as we prayed at our 50th state capitol building. Actually, we were at the Lawyers Mall, right in front of Thurgood Marshall's statue. We were surrounded by the Supreme Court on the east, the Capitol building, housing the legislators, on the south, and the Governors mansion (executive branch), on the west.

As most of you know, this is the home of the Naval Academy. What precision they march with and what discipline they promote; much of this on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

The greatest thrill was the wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit as we prayed for the 50th time, the prayers the Holy Spirit has given us.

Yes, once again we found a praying church just twenty minutes from Annapolis in Bowie, Maryland. We attended their Saturday evening prayer with well over 100 in attendance. We spoke briefly that night and then prayed for the congregation and their vision to reach many in the area for Jesus. We preached in both services Sunday morning with a great response from the people.
It is a mystery how some truly find the gift of prayer as the true way to the Father's heart and how they so quickly identifie with our vision of prayer. They were so excited about the spirit of prayer and the great awakening that is coming to America.

In our prayer time today, we had one of our largest groups of people that included Academy students, deacons, pastors, and many friends. Our wonderful friends from the Chicago area were present to help us with the prayer time today. What a thrill to hear the academy students sing God bless America! A young lady, with such a professional voice, sang, "Stand by Me," as we concluded our prayer for the Katrina Hurricane evacuees and those who lost family members in this great tragedy.

As we stretched out our hands toward the three government buildings of this historic city, we blessed their future with coals of fire and promise of a great awakening. The State House, the oldest working capitol building in the United States. The Treaty of Paris, ending the Revolutionary War, was signed here.

Now, let the great awakening begin at this historic sight where so many once knew the power of the Holy Spirit. The charter of this state declares that it is the duty of Maryland to worship. There is so much to say at each of these prayer times, but we must finish our task this Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at the west, center, lawn of the U.S. Capitol building.

Prayer Across America is sponsored by Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries and Concerned Women for America. Bless you for caring for us as we prayed across America.
